Enqueue method The recommended option loads the parent styles first and then the child styles so you can override them. Include commented code to dequeue parent styles Useful if you want to completely replace some of the parent CSS.

Select the additional functions you want to include in functions.php:

Disable the block editor (Gutenberg) Disable WordPress emojis (improves performance) Add post format support Register additional navigation menus

Custom menus (one per line: Name|slug) If left empty, default menus will be created.

Custom widget areas (one per line: Name|slug) If left empty, default areas will be created.

If your parent theme is a block theme (FSE) like Twenty Twenty-Five, Twenty Twenty-Four, Twenty Twenty-Three, flavor-developer or storefront, enable these options to generate the necessary files.
